Capel C.S Ltd are pleased to announce
another completed scheme for MTR Elizabeth line under Transport for London’s OnNetwork Station Improvement Programme (ONSIP) for works at Langley Station.
The construction contractors were contracted for executing the works
to convert the former bin store into a waiting room for passengers, and for the
refurbishment of the retail unit.
The new waiting room features a brand-new entrance with an automatic door to improve
accessibility and provide ease of access for people with reduced mobility.
It also features new electrical assets, including heating and lighting for waiting passengers,
and was finished with new flooring throughout and a full-redecoration with the Elizabeth
line’s brand colours. The project started in early December 2021 and was completed on
28 January 2022.
This work is in addition to the various projects completed by Capel C.S Ltd for MTR
Elizabeth line at Langley, Taplow, Southall, and West Drayton stations. We hope the new
facilities at Langley will be enjoyed by all travelling passengers and staff for years to com
Previous works at Langley
Previous works for Langley consisted of the Refurbishment and remodelling of the Ticket
Office and Booking Hall, external works including a R.A.G.E. unit and more.
The works to the Back of House areas included a new staff Toilet, Mess facility and
dedicated Comms room. The first floor accommodation was reconfigured to provide a new
Office for MTR staff with a kitchenette and breakout area, a new Tenancy was also
constructed to the first floor.
To develop the design pre-construction surveys included Foundations, Topographical and
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey, Civils Survey, Soakaway test bore hole sampling,
Structural Survey, Damp Survey and a Roof survey. New electrical, Data and Comms
supplies were installed into the area, with new desks and chairs being supplied as part of
the works.
The walls and ceilings received a new plaster finish, floor finishes included carpet tiles to
the office space, stairs and MTR breakout area, vinyl flooring to the kitchenettes, with
walls, ceilings and woodwork being decorated to complete the works.
